Remembering 1989
This article is correct -- just as conservatives tried to give Reagan credit for the "fall of communism," so now are they and others in the media doing the same for John Paul II. I remember 1989, and to the extent that any one person prompted the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Velvet Revolution, etc., it was Gorbachev.
